Lynne Miller Memorial Cup 2019
On October 5, the ladies section held a match in memory of Lynne Miller. The nine-hole competition featured a "longest drive" and "nearest the pin" as this was something Lynne enjoyed.
Lynne's husband, Ally, kindly donated a trophy and runners-up prizes which were awarded at a tea party afterwards. Hilary Cooper won the match, with June Fair runner-up.
The ‘longest drive’ was by Lynne and Ally's daughter, Lauren, who wasn’t far short of the third green. Hillary Cooper was ‘"nearest the pin", with a gross 2.
Everyone enjoyed the day and it was agreed that the memorial match should feature in future fixtures lists.
